Christmas decorations are coming down as the holiday season is over. Cordovans, as always, enjoyed a wide range of activities as part of this most special time of the year.

However, music lovers may have missed out on a unique Yuletide event that popped up on Dec. 23, 2022, at the Reluctant Fisherman Lounge and Restaurant. Beginning at 5 p.m., a talented trio of high school musicians wowed a packed house with an evening of live dinner music.

Featuring Thomas Nothstine on the keys, Teagan Hesse on the bass and Dylan Felix on the drums, the group played an entertaining program titled “A Jazzy Christmas” that left the crowd wanting more.

The impromptu appearance was arranged through the combined efforts of the Reluctant management and Nicole Nothstine, mother of keyboard talent Thomas, who has been taking piano lessons for years under the masterful tutelage of Cordovan Anita Smyke.

If the overflowing tip jar was any indication, locals want to hear more from this talented threesome of high school sophomores.

Their chance is in the works.  The trio will be performing “A Jazzy Valentine” at the Reluctant, and it might be a good idea to make your reservations early.
