Nominations sought for volunteer awards

Nominations are open through March 6 to honor Alaskans for extraordinary volunteer service with the First Lady’s Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The annual honors recognize individuals who engage in unpaid charitable activities, demonstrate personal commitment to long-term volunteer services and make a significant impact for Alaskans.

A committee of Alaskans, including First Lady Rose Dunleavy will select the award recipients, to be honored at a luncheon this spring at the People’s House in Juneau.

Submit nominations online at gov.alaska.gov/first-lady-volunteer-awards/.

Paper versions of the nomination form are also available at the governor’s regional offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Soldotna and Palmer.
