Have a beer with the chamber

Cordova Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first social event of the year, Business Beers next week. Join the Chamber for appetizers, beverages and good conversations to kick off the year. The goal is to build community among Cordova’s business professionals and facilitate a group of Cordovan voices to share the triumphs, struggles and beauty of doing business. This is a free event that includes appetizers, an optional icebreaker game and business conversations. Stop by Copper River Brewing on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m., grab a beer or non-alcoholic beverage, and enjoy the comradery of Cordova’s business professionals.
“I’m excited about this event as a tool to help our members find value and learn about what we are working on. I also hope it can make the Chamber more approachable to businesses and give us an opportunity to answer questions and get our members and non-members more involved in Cordova’s business community,” said Cathy Renfeldt, executive director of the Chamber.
The event is an opportunity to build relationships with other business professionals. The Chamber wants to help form relationships, forge collaborations and open the floor for questions between business professionals.
The Cordova Chamber of Commerce is governed by a 16-member board of directors and is comprised of about 150 members. In addition to operating the Cordova Visitor Center, the Chamber’s work is divided into four primary program areas: economic development, quality of life, destination marketing and business support.
