Alaska Sea Grant has posted 10 upcoming workshops and other events in its latest Fishlines newsletter, a monthly publication of research and educational events in support of Alaska’s marine resources, coastal communities and businesses.
The list includes:
- March 6–10: Alaska Seafood Processing Leadership Institute, Spring 2023
- March 15: Business of Fishing workshop—Kodiak
- March 21–24: Foundations of Kelp Farming: a hands-on workshop intensive
- March 24: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- March 30: Listening session in support of outdoor tourism
- April 5–6: Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference
- April 19: Alaska Marine Policy Forum
- April 19–21: Seaweed Handling and Processing Workshop
- April 23–24: Invasive European Green Crab in Southern Southeast Alaska workshop
(Due to space limits, the invasive green crab workshop is for residents of southern Southeast Alaska only. Sea Grant is hoping to do another such workshop in the fall to target northern Southeast residents.)
