All the junior high sports teams were honored on stage: cross-country, swim, girls and boys basketball, cheer squad, volleyball, and wrestling. The coaches made heartfelt speeches addressing the crowd and the athletes, reminiscing on great seasons for all.

The ages in the junior high athletic program range from 6th-8th grade, and the student athletes received honors such as the Wolverine Award, signifying exemplary attitude and team spirit.

Wrestling Coach Seth Balint was the master of ceremonies, and later handed out his own certificates of recognition to his team. “This year had buzzer beaters, close loses, tournament championship winners, tough defeats, and come-from-behind victories. But tonight, we would like to take the focus off competition, as we celebrate the effort and commitment of every junior high student athlete and coach, here at Cordova Junior/Senior High School,” said Balint. Balint went on to thank the families and community supporters of junior high sports and athletic programs.
