CPD dispatch report – April 24, 2023 through April 30, 2023

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between April 24, 2023 through April 30, 2023. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 24, MONDAY:

  • At 4:40 p.m. a caller reported an abandoned white Dodge pickup on Second Street. An officer was advised.
  • At 8:40 p.m. a caller reported a diesel spill at Odiak Pond. The fire department responded.

APRIL 25, TUESDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

APRIL 26, WEDNESDAY:

  • At 12:17 a.m. an individual turned in a backpack that was found near the Reluctant Fisherman.
  • At 12:42 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 9:31 a.m. a caller reported a boat and forklift obscuring the view of traffic at an intersection. An officer responded.
  • At 5:56 p.m. an automated alarm went off at Trident Seafoods, a responsible party reported this was a false alarm.
  • At 10:10 p.m. an automated 911 call was received with a report that a crash had occurred. The owner was contacted and reported no crash had occurred.

APRIL 27, THURSDAY:

  • At 12:13 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 6:33 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle parked blocking a dumpster. An officer was advised.

APRIL 28, FRIDAY:

  • At 12:33 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 10:18 p.m. a caller reported an individual was causing problems at their place of work. That individual left when dispatch was called. An officer was advised.

APRIL 29, SATURDAY: 

  • At 1:32 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 7:51 a.m. a caller reported an intoxicated individual was harassing them at their place of work. An officer responded.
  • At 9:28 a.m. a caller reported they were being harassed at their place of work. An officer responded and trespassed the individual.
  • At 10:19 a.m. a wallet was turned into the station. The wallet was returned to the owner.
  •  At 7:18 p.m. a caller reported that there had been a small rockslide near Alpine Falls. No rocks were on the road.
  • At 9:44 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning to the driver.
  • At 11:21 p.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.

APRIL 30, SUNDAY:

  • At 3:54 p.m. an automated fire alarm went off at Ocean Beauty Seafoods. The responsible party and a fire officer were called to do a walkthrough.

DMV HOURS:  Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
