CPD dispatch report – May 1, 2023 through May 7, 2023

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between May 1, 2023 through May 7, 2023. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MAY 1, MONDAY:

  •  At 10:53 a.m. a caller reported that he had items stolen from his warehouse. An officer was advised.
  • At 10:56 a.m. a caller reported a drunk driver, an officer responded and an individual was arrested for DUI.
  • At 10:42 p.m. a caller reported a noise complaint. An officer responded and spoke with the individual. 

MAY 2, TUESDAY:

  •  Nothing to report.

MAY 3, WEDNESDAY:

  • At 2:06 a.m. an officer conducted a security check of the 13-mile airport.
  • At 12:59 p.m. a caller requested an officer for civil standby, an officer was advised.
  • At 1:27 p.m. a caller requested a welfare check. An officer responded.
  • At 10:40 p.m. a caller requested an officer as they thought someone was trying to get into their residence. An officer responded.

MAY 4, THURSDAY:

  •  At 12:330 a.m. an officer conducted a security check of the 13-mile airport.
  • At 12:56 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle had a tire come off and requested an officer’s assistance to guide traffic. An officer responded.

MAY 5, FRIDAY:

  •  At 1:09 a.m. an officer conducted a security check of the 13-mile airport.
  • At 11:44 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle stopped in the road on the Highway. An officer was advised.
  • At 3:14 p.m. an automated fire alarm was reported. The responsible party was contacted, and it was determined to be a false alarm.
  • At 11:41 p.m. a caller reported that they could hear yelling from a boat in the bay. An officer responded.

MAY 6, SATURDAY: 

  • At 4:25 a.m. an officer conducted a security check of the 13-mile airport.
  • At 1:18 p.m. a caller reported they would be doing a controlled burn.
  • At 10:06 p.m. a caller reported a noise complaint, an officer responded.
  • At 10:50 p.m. a caller reported a reckless driver. An officer responded.
  • At 11:11 p.m. an officer conducted a security check of the 13-mile airport.

MAY 7, SUNDAY:

  • At 1:50 a.m. a caller requested a welfare check on their neighbor. An officer responded.
  • At 12:25 p.m. a caller requested assistance jumping their vehicle. The call was advised to call Mobile Grid.
  • At 1:55 p.m. a caller reported that the water tower behind their residence was overflowing. The City Water department was advised.

DMV HOURS:  Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
