Alaska legislators have confirmed five state commissioners appointed by Gov. Mike Dunleavy, along with the appointment of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Jason Brune to be the lieutenant governor’s successor.
The confirmed commissioners, their appointments approved on May 9, include Jen Winkelman, Department of Corrections; Heidi Hedberg, Department of Health; John Boyle, Department of Natural Resources; Adam Crum, Department of Revenue; and Kim Kovol, Department of Family and Community Services.
