Governor isolates after contact with COVID-positive person
Gov. Mike Dunleavy is in self-isolation at home in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley after learning that he was exposed to an individual who later tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Grand dame of Alaska politics passes
Katie Hurley, who served as chief clerk of the Alaska Constitutional Convention in the 1950s, and became known as the grand dame of Alaska politics, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, in Portland, Ore.

Early voting in the March 2 Cordova General Election has been extended. Early voting is now available at Community Room B in the Cordova Center Feb. 24-26 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Feb. 27-28 from noon-5 p.m.
