Justice Department urged to investigate Pebble mine
Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., is urging the Justice Department to examine discrepancies between what Pebble mine promoters said in recently released tapes and how they have characterized the project in legally binding document, as well as in congressional testimony.

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the percentage of Alaska adults who are obese rose from 29.5 percent in 2018 to 30.5 percent in 2019, but still less than the 34.2 percent counted in 2017.
Alaska fishermen, Oregon foundation help feed military families
A partnership of Sitka based commercial fishermen, an Oregon based domestic non-profit and the Armed Services YMCA of Alaska is helping Alaska’s military families to fill their freezers with a total of 50,000 pounds of donated wild Alaska seafood.
