Cordova VFW Post #10032 salutes veterans

Members of Cordova’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10032 and community volunteers turned out in the pouring rain on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, to honor the memory of local veterans now in their final resting place, with American flags at each gravesite.

Junior fishing derby draws more kids than fish

Following a rash of bear sightings, the 2018 Kids Fishing Derby drew only 15 participants. This year’s derby, with better advertising and fewer bears, registered an unprecedented 64 kids, organizers said.
