Free Vehicle Disposal Day

The City of Cordova Refuse Department will be having a free vehicle disposal day October 7th from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm at the 17 Mile Landfill.
Vehicles must be drained of all fluids, have batteries removed, and interiors need to be clear of any garbage or hazardous materials.
Vehicles also need to be inspected by a Refuse Department employee prior to being taken to the landfill for disposal.
Vehicle Disposal Release and Vehicle Preparation Checklist forms are available at the Baler and City Hall.
VEHICLES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN DRAINED AND INSPECTED OR DO NOT HAVE THE COMPLETED PAPERWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
