Join the City of Cordova staff and Emergency Service personnel as they share a debrief of the earthquake and tsunami response. This will be an important community event to learn about the earthquake itself and how our community has responded.
There will be a review of the process, what worked and what didn’t and how we can continue as a community to prepare and improve our responses to an emergency.
Here’s the agenda for Tuesday night:
Introduction and Welcome – City Manager Lanning
The Event – Joanie Behrends
The Response Process – Panel
Adjustments – Chief Hicks/Fire Marshall Trumblee
The All Clear – Panel
Preparedness – Behrends/Hicks/Trumblee
Wrap Up and Questions – City Manager Lanning
We hope to keep the presentations brief and informative and allow plenty of time for questions, comments and concerns at the end. There will be handouts, informational pamphlets, displays available in the atrium before and after the event.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
