Law & Order

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 4-21-17 thru 4-27-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 21, Friday:
3:49 p.m. Caller reported someone had vandalized the engines of his Fishing Vessel. Officer responded and the case is under investigation.

APRIL 22, Saturday:
11:02 a.m. Caller reported a dog running loose. Officer responded and responsible party got their dog.

APRIL 23, Sunday:
4:36 p.m. Caller stated that she left her car parked in a parking lot for the night and believed that someone had been in it but said nothing was missing or damaged but only dirty. Officer responded and took report.

APRIL 24, Monday:
7:58 a.m. Caller reported he received threatening text messages from an unknown phone number. Officer responded finding the owner of the unknown phone number finding the situation to be a miscommunication. 11:36 p.m. Caller requested assistance bringing a patient back to CCMC. Officer responded and assisted.

APRIL 25, Tuesday:
2:22 p.m. Caller reported his laptop was stolen from him. Officer is investigating the theft.

APRIL 27, Thursday:
Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:
DMV HOURS: Tuesday – Thurs from 8am to 3:00pm unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
