Law & Order

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 69-17 through 6-15-17. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JUNE 9, Friday: 

8:22 p.m. Caller reported he saw a vehicle park on First Street and thought the people in the vehicle may be intoxicated. Officer responded and found the vehicle unoccupied.

JUNE 10, Saturday: 

12:19 a.m. Officer reported an open door at a business. Officer investigated finding the owners to still be in the building. 10:41 a.m. Caller reported a REDDI vehicle. Officer responded finding the driver to not be intoxicated. 5 p.m. Caller reported a boat fire in the New Harbor. Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.

JUNE 11, Sunday:

1:10 a.m. Individual spoke with officer and stated that he dropped someone off at their residence and he was unable to get inside. Officer responded and helped individual into his home. 2:33 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle had swerved over the yellow lines and hit a curb. Officer responded but could not locate the vehicle.

JUNE 12, Monday:

9:18 p.m. Caller reported a domestic disturbance coming from their neighbors’ residence. Officer responded finding all to be well.

JUNE 13, Tuesday: 

12:46 p.m. Caller reported a theft from his office. Case is under investigation.

JUNE 14, Wednesday: 

10:49 a.m. Caller reported a vehicle accident. A woman inside the vehicle was complaining of an injured shoulder and was having difficulty breathing. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.

JUNE 15, Thursday

1 p.m. Individual turned in a wallet. Owner later and picked up the wallet. 1:03 p.m. Individual came into the station and turned in a handbag that was left at a store. Owner later came to the station and picked up the handbag.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  Tuesday – Thurs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
