Alaska Department of Fish and Game officials say that Cordova seine fishery manager Charlie Russell will be working from Anchorage for this winter only, to provide him continuing education and professional development.

“The state is committed to continuing education and professional development for employees and this is an opportunity for this person to participate in both,” said Aaron Poetter, Russell’s supervisor in ADF&G’s Anchorage office. It was an internal decision made by the department to continue to develop staff and provide a supportive environment, he said.
