Ocean Beauty Seafoods’ Echo Falls brand has introduced three new smoked salmon products, including Applewood Smoked Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon Candy.
The company’s portfolio of smoked salmon products now also includes Scottish Atlantic Salmon smoked from wood of spent oak barrels from The Macallan whisky distillery and Beechwood Smoke Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, smoked in a traditional fashion perfected over generations, the company said.
Applewood Smoked Sockeye Salmon Candy is certified sustainable and harvested from Bristol Bay. The salmon is cut into strips from whole fillets, cured in brown sugar and salt, and then slowly smoked with Applewood. Fifty percent of wholesale profits are invested back into the Bristol Bay communities.
All three new products are available in grocery stores nationwide in four-ounce packages. The Applewood Smoked Sockeye Salmon Candy is also available in 12-ounce packages, and the Whisky Cash Smoked Scottish Atlantic Salmon is also available in seven-ounce and 12-ounce portions.
