Law & Order: Feb. 15-21

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 2-15-19 thru 2-21-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.              

FEBRUARY 15, Friday:

Nothing to report.

FEBRUARY 16, Saturday:

Nothing to report.

FEBRUARY 17, Sunday:

10:34 a.m. Individual came to the station and requested to speak with officer about a dispute between him and his neighbor. Officer spoke with complainant and other party and came to an agreement.

FEBRUARY 18, Monday:

Nothing to report.

FEBRUARY 19, Tuesday: 

10:57 a.m. Multiple businesses reported an individual using counterfeit money to make transactions. Officer responded and incident is under investigation. 1:36 p.m. Caller reported while doing a welfare check she found the person on the floor and in need of an ambulance. Officer and ambulance responded and transported individual to the hospital. 5:37 p.m. Caller reported smelling fuel near Bidarki. On-call fire officer responded and cleaned up fuel with absorbent pads.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
