State offers OSHA construction course

A 10-hour Occupational Health and Safety Administration construction course is being offered in Anchorage March 20-21 for $8 at the offices of the Associated General Contractors of Alaska.

The course is sponsored by the Alaska Occupational Safety and Health Consultation and Training section, along with AGCA’s safety committee.

The cost is $8. Registration is required, but space is limited. Call 907-269-4951 to register and email additional questions to elaine.banda@alaska.gov.

The training session, taught by experts in specific subjects, will cover recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards specific to the construction industry.

Those who successfully complete the two-day course will be mailed their OSHA 10-hour cards.
