Items included in the Remembering the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill include documents, images, video footage and news chippings from these collections, to show the impact of the 10.8-million-gallon spill of crude oil into the waters of Prince William Sound.

The Kashevaroff building housing the state libraries, archives and museum is a division of the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development.
