Law & Order: July 7-18

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 7-12-19 thru 7-18-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JULY 12, Friday:

11:32 a.m. Caller reported a bow picker crashed into some rocks by the North boat ramp. Officer responded and discovered the boat had lost its steering. A separate vessel offered to help and towed the vessel back to the harbor.

JULY 13, Saturday:

1:59 a.m. Caller reported a fight between multiple people. Officer responded to the scene and the parties involved had already dispersed. 1:45 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC. 8:21 p.m. Caller requested an individual be trespassed from their business. Officer responded trespassing the individual.

JULY 14, Sunday:

12:10 a.m. Officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Robert Deangelis, age 24, of Broomhall, Pennsylvania, for DUI. Caller reported a fight. Officers responded and the fight had disbanded. 8:37 a.m. Caller reported a person who had entered their house in the early morning. Upon investigation an officer determined that Krystal Villanueva, age 32, of Cordova, had entered the home and was arrested.

JULY 15, Monday:

Nothing to report.

JULY 16, Tuesday:

11 p.m. Caller reported someone may have broken into Bidarki and was working out. Officer responded and spoke to the individual.

JULY 17, Wednesday:

5:49 p.m. Caller reported an MVAS on Orca Road. An officer responded and arrested Matt Honkola, age 33 of Cordova, for DUI. 9:32 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Joshua Fields, age 36, of Cordova, for driving while revoked.

JULY 18, Thursday:

Nothing to report. 

DMV HOURS:

8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
