Law & Order: Aug. 16-22

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Aug. 16-22, 2019. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Aug. 16: 11:26 a.m. Caller reported suspicious activity going on behind a building. Officer responded, speaking to the individuals and finding everything to be fine.

Saturday, Aug. 17: 1:07 a.m. Caller reported an assault that happened on First Street. Officer responded, investigating the situation. 3:32 a.m. Caller requested an individual be trespassed from their business. Officer responded, trespassing the individual. 9:21 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a woman having difficulty moving. Ambulance responded, transporting the patient to CCMC.

Sunday, Aug. 18: 2:45 p.m. Caller reported the deck near the fire pit at Boy Scout cabin was smoldering. Fire Department responded, assisting putting out the fire

Monday, Aug. 19: Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Aug. 20: 1:16 p.m. Caller reported an intoxicated individual being belligerent. Officer responded, finding the individual had left.

Wednesday, Aug. 21: Nothing to report.

Thursday, Aug. 22: 9:18 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for his grandmother who was feeling unwell. Ambulance responded, transporting the patient to CCMC. 11:26 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance because she had back pain and could not move. Ambulance responded, transporting the patient to CCMC.

DMV HOURS: Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, citations.
