Ocean Beauty Seafoods launches new website

In the wake of its merger with Icicle Seafoods to form OBI Seafoods, Ocean Beauty Seafoods has launched a new website, oceanbeauty.com,  focused on its distribution business and proprietary value-added and smoked seafood brands.

“The new site provides much more information on our distribution offerings and our brands, and the detailed product information will be particularly useful for our customers,” said Ron Christianson, vice president of sales and marketing. “In addition to targeting a seafood industry audience we have added content for consumers who are purchasing our branded seafood items. They will be able to find recipes, how-to videos and other content to assist them in safe handling and easy preparation of all our products.”

The website identifies Ocean Beauty’s seven distribution locations in the western United States, plus product information to serve customers at those locales. It also offers information on the company’s branded products, including the Echo Falls, Nathan’s and LASCco smoked salmon product lines Ocean Beauty and Icy Point value-added products, and Captain Findus premium battered and breaded seafood lines.

Ocean Beauty Seafoods got its start in Seattle in 1910 as a small seafood shop. Over a century later it is one of the largest seafood companies in North America, with seven distribution locations and two smoking and processing plants in Washington state.

Company owners include several veteran seafood industry executives and the Bristol Bay Economic Development Corp., a community development quota group that supports economic development in rural communities in Southwest Alaska.
