NFWF offers grants via Walmart’s Acres for America

Requests for proposals are being accepted by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation through April 15 for Walmart’s Acres for America program to conserve fish, wildlife and plant habitats.

The 2021 program will award $3.5 million in grants to projects that conserve important large-scale habitats through land acquisitions and perpetual conservation easements.

Potential projects must address several priorities, ranging from critical habitats for birds, fish, plants and wildlife, to safeguarding the future of local economies that depend on forestry, ranching and recreation.

A small number of pre-proposals submitted nationwide will be selected to submit a more detailed full proposal.

Additional information on the program is online at cdv.tiny.us/acres.
