Viking Marine’s purpose is to facilitate and expedite the safety and reliability of the Southcentral commercial fishing fleet. Through proper knowledge and experience, their products and services are vetted with extreme prejudice by the environments in which they are called to perform.
How has the business changed over the years?
Viking is still a relatively new business, so we are constantly looking for ways to improve the store. Last year we changed our entire layout and expanded our electrical aisle. This year we added to our selection of boots, raingear and gloves and can now outfit the entire family, from infant up to 4X and Tall sizes and offer several styles just for women.
What are some new items or offerings you’re excited about?
We are very excited about becoming an exclusive dealer (along with our Ace Hardware store) for Cordova Outdoors, and will be carrying a selection of their hard and soft sided coolers, and drinkware. Cordova Outdoors is based in Nampa, Idaho and their products are designed to withstand Cordova’s rigorous outdoor lifestyle. Their hard coolers are made in America and are even bear resistant.
How does your business impact the community of Cordova?
Viking Marine is locally owned and offers another option when it comes to meeting the needs of our fleet and community. We are always looking to add products that meet the needs of our customers.
