Riggs, Palmer named to serve on ASMI board

Rich Riggs, chief executive officer of Silver Bay Seafoods, has been appointed and Mark Palmer, president and chief executive officer of OBI Seafoods, reappointed to the board of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.

Both appointments are effective through June 1, 2024.

The appointments were announced on Friday, Aug. 20, by Gov. Mike Dunleavy.

ASMI is a public-private partnership between the state of Alaska and the Alaska seafood industry established to foster economic development of the seafood resource, through a competitive market-driven food production industry.
