M/V Kennicott set to depart Ketchikan on April 28

State transportation officials this week announced a further delay of the M/V Kennicott coming out of the shipyard due to additional repairs, inspections and certification requirements, saying the ferry would depart northbound from Ketchikan on Thursday, April 28.

Kennicott’s port calls to Homer and Seldovia were canceled so that the ship could pick up the published May schedule.

According to the Alaska Marine Highway System all passengers were being notified of the schedule change and rebooked or refunded as necessary.
