The following is a summary of incidences that occurred or were reported to the Cordova Police Department April 25 through May 1, 2022.

Defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, April 25:

12:42 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

7:47 a.m.  A resident called to speak with an Officer.

9:41 a.m.  A resident came to the station to speak with an Officer.

10:39 a.m.  An Officer conducted follow-up on a harassment case.

11:35 a.m.  A resident called to speak with an Officer.

1:09 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

3:37 p.m.  Dispatch received a report of a missing dog.

3:42 p.m.  A resident called to speak with an Officer.

4:44 p.m.  An Officer conducted follow-up on a disturbance case.

4:54 p.m.  A resident called to report having found the missing dog.

5:36 p.m.  An Officer served court documents.

6:27 p.m.  A resident called to speak with an Officer.

7:01 p.m.  An Officer responded to a report of alleged juveniles driving 4-wheelers recklessly at Mile 6.5 Copper River Highway.

7:12 p.m.  The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medivac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.

8:43 p.m.  An Officer responded to a 911 report of alleged assault.

8:50 p.m.  The Fire Marshal responded to a report of a brush fire.  9:05 p.m.  The Fire Marshal reported the fire was extinguished. 

Tuesday, April 26:

2:12 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

1:11 p.m.  An individual was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. 

6:54 p.m.  An Officer served court documents.

6:57 p.m.  An Officer conducted follow-up on a disturbance case.

7:37 p.m.  A resident brought a dog to the station. 

9:26 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

9:31 p.m.  An Officer responded to a 911 report of alleged juvenile assault.

Wednesday, April 27:

2:31 a.m.  The Emergency Medical Services team, the Fire Department, and an Officer responded to a 911 call on Lake Avenue.  The patient was transported to Cordova Community Medical Center.

8:42 a.m.  Two Officers took part in a mock SART callout for training purposes.

11:55 a.m.  A resident submitted a Citizen Complaint regarding an alleged theft.

1:09 p.m.  An Officer conducted one prisoner transport to the airport.

5:02 p.m.  An Officer issued a warning to a motorist on Copper River Highway. 

6:14 p.m.  An Officer and probation officers performed several home visits of probationers.

Thursday, April 28:

12:54 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

9:48 a.m.  A resident called the station requesting Officer assistance for a civil mater.

2:05 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

4:17 p.m.  An Officer responded to a Welfare Check request.  The Officer assisted the individual in finding a place to stay.

4:30 p.m.  The DMV Clerk turned in a vest that was left in the DMV office to Lost and Found property.  If you can describe it, it is yours. 

8:47 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

9:14 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

10:06 p.m.  An Officer responded to a complaint regarding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes riding recklessly at Mile 6.5 Copper River Highway.

Friday, April 29:

2:16 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

11:18 a.m.  A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.

11:38 a.m.  An Officer responded to a Welfare Check request.  The individual was fine.

12:54 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

2:35 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

2:57 p.m.  The Fire Department responded to a Commercial Fire Alarm at Bidarki Recreation Center.  This was a false alarm.

3:42 p.m.  A resident came to the station to speak with an Officer.

4:15 p.m.  A resident called to speak with an Officer.

5:17 p.m.  A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.

7:41 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

7:47 p.m. An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

11:19 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

11:43 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

Saturday, April 30:

12:25 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

3:01 p.m.  A resident reported a controlled burn.

3:42 p.m.  A resident came to the station to speak with an Officer.

5:44 p.m.  An Officer responded to a report of two trucks “racing each other”.

8:10 p.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at a local establishment.

9:12 p.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at the Cordova Jr/Sr High School.

9:29 p.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at a local establishment.

9:37 p.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at a local establishment.

10:42 p.m.  An Officer issued a Warning to a Motorist on First Street and Browning Avenue.

10:53 p.m.  An Officer issued a Warning to a Motorist on Second Street and Copper River Highway.

10:54 p.m.  Two Officers noticed an unattended fire in the Cordova Cemetery and extinguished it.

11:54 p.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at a local establishment.

Sunday, May 1:

12:07 a.m.  Two Officers conducted a security check at a local establishment.

12:40 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

1:12 a.m.  An Officer reported to Dispatch stopping to speak with an individual asleep on the sidewalk at First Street and Council Avenue. The individual was awakened by the Officer and called a friend for a ride. 

1:28 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

2:29 a.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

3:18 a.m.  An Officer brought Lost and Found property to the station: a quilt with a water bottle found at the same location.  If you can accurately describe these items and where you left them, they are yours. 

1:37 p.m.  An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K Mudhole Smith Airport.

2:59 p.m.  A resident reported a missing license plate.

3:17 p.m.  The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medivac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.

3:42 p.m.  A resident reported a wallet stolen from a vehicle.

4:56 p.m.  Two Officers responded to a report of a dog bite. 5:29 p.m.  The Officer reported to Dispatch the issue was resolved.

10:35 p.m.  An Officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

11:48 p.m.  An Officer issued a Warning to a Motorist on Main Street and Adams Avenue.

11:57 p.m.  An Officer responded to a report of Domestic Violence.
