The following is a summary of incidences that occurred or were reported to the Cordova Police Department May 9 through May 15, 2022. Defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, May 9:

  • 11:56 a.m. A resident came to the station for a vehicle lockout kit.
  • 12:09 p.m. The Emergency Medical Services team and an officer responded to a 911 call on South First Street. The patient was transported to Cordova Community Medical Center.
  • 12:58 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious individual.
  • 2:45 p.m. An officer appeared in Court.
  • 3:20 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious individual.
  • 3:27 p.m. An officer responded to a parking complaint.
  • 5:10 p.m. An officer served papers.
  • 7:01 p.m. The Emergency Medical Services team and an officer responded to a 911 call on Mile 6 Copper River Highway. The patient refused transport to the Cordova Community Medical Center.
  • 8:07 p.m. An officer served papers.
  • 8:14 p.m. A resident came to the station requesting an ambulance transport to the Cordova Community Medical Center. The Emergency Medical Services team and an officer responded.
  • 8:50 p.m. The Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on Jim Poor Avenue.

Tuesday, May 10:

  • 12:05 a.m. An officer responded to a request for assistance at the Cordova Community Medical Center.
  • 1:13 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 10:31 a.m. An officer served papers.
  • 2:28 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 2:40 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 3:01 p.m. A resident came to the station for a vehicle lockout kit.
  • 11:51 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.

Wednesday, May 11:

  • 4:37 a.m. An officer responded to a noise complaint at the Prince William Motel.
  • 7:32 a.m. Dispatch received a report of an Eagle, possibly wounded, on Center Drive.
  • 9:38 a.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 10:13 a.m. An officer appeared in Court.
  • 11:16 a.m. The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medivac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.
  • 12:26 p.m. A resident came to the station to speak with an Officer.
  • 12:38 p.m. Dispatch received a report of a dog running loose on Whitshed Avenue.
  • 12:48 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 1:47 p.m. A resident came to the station for a random alcohol test.
  • 3:11 p.m. An officer responded to a request for assistance at local establishment.
  • 11:37 p.m. Two officers responded to a report of an alleged assault at 60 Degrees North.

Thursday, May 12:

  • 2:27 a.m. The Emergency Medical Services team and two officers responded to a 911 call on Seventh Street. The patient refused transportation to the Cordova Community Medical Center.
  • 7:56 a.m. Dispatch received a parking complaint.
  • 7:58 a.m. Dispatch received a report of a lost wallet.
  • 11:11 a.m. A resident came to the station for a vehicle lockout kit.
  • 11:23 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious individual.
  • 12:47 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious individual.
  • 2:24 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 4:12 p.m. An officer responded to a Welfare Check request. The officer reported to Dispatch the individual was fine.
  • 4:20 p.m. An officer responded to a 911 report of a fender bender.
  • 4:37 p.m. An officer responded to a 911 call from a vessel in the new harbor requesting officer assistance with a “belligerent” crew member.
  • 6:58 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.
  • 11:55 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.

Friday, May 13:

  • 9:35 a.m. An officer responded to a citizen report of suspicious activity.
  • 12:32 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 2:33 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 3:59 p.m. An officer responded to a call from a vessel in the new harbor.
  • 5:25 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 8:16 p.m. Dispatch received a complaint of a verbal threat at 60 Degrees North.
  • 9:20 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.
  • 9:29 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.

Saturday, May 14:

  • 12:31 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:18 p.m. A local business owner reported an individual exhibiting threatening behavior.
  • 12:49 p.m. A resident called Dispatch regarding suspicious activity.
  • 1:35 p.m. A resident reported a controlled burn.
  • 2:35 p.m. An officer responded to a complaint from a vessel in the new harbor requesting officer assistance with a “belligerent” crew member.
  • 4:13 p.m. A resident reported a controlled burn.
  • 5:08 p.m. A resident reported a controlled burn.
  • 6:49 p.m. An officer served papers.
  • 9:40 p.m. A caller asked to speak with an officer regarding an assault complaint.

Sunday, May 15:

  • 1:18 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 11:44 a.m. An officer responded to a complaint from a local business owner regarding an individual.
  • 12:16 p.m. An officer responded to a complaint from a local business owner regarding an individual exhibiting threatening behavior.
  • 12:23 p.m. Skylar Jensen, age 22, of Cordova, Alaska, was arrested for Criminal Trespass.
