The Kodiak Chamber of Commerce is welcoming the fisheries industry once again to participate in ComFish Alaska, billed as the state’s longest running commercial fisheries trade show that the chamber has organized for 40 years.
The show brings together representatives of state and federal government agencies and nonprofits involved in every aspect of commercial fishing, including environmental issues.
Topics at the event’s well-attended forum range from legislative steps being taken to reclaim fisheries in demise, climate change impact on the ocean and river systems, and the latest safety gear in the precarious world of commercial fisheries.
