In the first game last Friday, Cordova scored 22 points in the first quarter and cruised to a 68-37 win. Three Wolverines were in double digits point-wise: Jaykob Thorne with 16; Noah Pearson and Junior Itliong with 12.

The game on Saturday turned out to be a low scoring defensive battle. Unalaska held CHS to 6 points in the first quarter and lead 18-14 at halftime. Wolverine playmaker Itliong had a big second half, scoring 10 of his game high 12 points and leading Cordova to a hard fought 41-31 win.

The Wolverines continue their long road trip to play conference games at Su-Valley and Effie Kokrine this week. Results of those games will be reported next week.
