Ochoa joints GAPP as marketing, membership coordinator

Jonathan Ochoa, a media expert in the food and beverage industry, has been hired by the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers as its marketing and membership coordinator.

Ochoa, a native of Washington, has extensive background in digital marketing graphic design and food and beverage photography. He will have responsibility for many of the association’s membership efforts — including newsletters, material development and events like the wild Alaska pollock annual meeting, which is scheduled for Sept. 28 at the Four Seasons in Seattle.

Craig Morris, chief executive officer of the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers, said that Ochoa would be connecting with influencers and building awareness for wild Alaska pollock.

Ochoa previously served as an organic content marketer for Nectr Social in Seattle and in Chicago as a brand marketing specialist for Bitewell, Inc. Most recently, Ochoa operated a freelance photography and social media strategy business, doing work for Seattle clients in the food, beverage and music industries including Copperworks Distillery, Compass Realty, Stag’s Leap, StreetBean Coffee, and others.
