JUNE 05, MONDAY:

  • Nothing to report.

JUNE 06, TUESDAY:

  • At 6:00 p.m. an officer provided fingerprinting services for an individual.
  • At 9:00 p.m. a caller reported a possible drunk driver. An officer responded but did not observe any indication that the driver was impaired.

JUNE 07, WEDNESDAY:

  • At 12:17 p.m. a caller reported a prank phone call from someone claiming to be her grandson needing $7,000.00 to bail him out of jail. She then received another call from his alleged attorney, calling his client by name. She did not have a grandson by that name.
  • At 12:36 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run fender bender in front of a local business. An officer was notified, and a case file was started.

JUNE 08, THURSDAY:

  • At 12:10 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 11:22 a.m. An officer provided fingerprinting services for several individuals.

JUNE 09, FRIDAY:

  • At 12:12 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 6:02 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the ferry terminal.
  • At 10:53 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 2:12 p.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 2:46 p.m. a caller reported a person had backed their vehicle into the building and left the scene. An officer was notified, and a case file was started.
  • At 5:47 p.m. a U.S. Forest Service officer reported a disabled vehicle at 4-mile Copper River Highway. A CPD officer responded and controlled traffic until the vehicle was moved.

JUNE 10, SATURDAY:

  • At 12:05 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Council Avenue. A warning was issued for having no taillights.
  • At 12:30 a.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 12:39 p.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.

JUNE 11, SUNDAY:

  • At 12:24 p.m. an officer conducted a security check at the 13-mile airport.
  • At 8:24 p.m. a caller reported a door at a local business open after hours. An officer responded and secured the building. The responsible party was notified.

DMV HOURS: Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. Payments are now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, and citations.
