State fisheries officials will hold a meeting of the Southeast king and tanner crab task force on Sept. 28 at the public library in Petersburg, with the option of virtual attendance via the Zoom platform.

Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) officials said the session would include a follow-up discussion of a May 12 meeting focused on golden king crab. Objectives include a management approach for the 2024 commercial golden king crab season, potential regulatory changes for the fishery, and collaborative approaches to the golden king crab stock assessment.

Participants may attend register in advance. Once registered, an email will be sent containing information about joining the meeting virtually or by telephone.

Updated meeting information will be posted on the ADF&G website the day prior to the meeting.
