Law & Order: April 5-11

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 4-5-19 thru 4-11-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                       

APRIL 5, Friday:

9:30 a.m. Caller notified an officer that his vehicle had been vandalized. The officer investigated the report. 10:10 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded to the caller’s residence and transported a patient to the hospital. 12:22 p.m. Caller reported two men arguing over a dog and one of the parties threatened to kill the animal. An officer responded and de-escalated the situation. Both parties left the area without further incident. 2:49 p.m. Ilanka Medical Center requested an ambulance for a transport to the airport. 5:14 p.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a transport to the airport.

APRIL 6, Saturday:

9:17 p.m. An automated alarm was received for a fire at the ferry terminal. The fire department responded and found low air in the sprinkler system had set off the alarm.

APRIL 7, Sunday:

3:03 p.m. Caller reported an individual was slumped over in a vehicle on First Street. Officer responded and found the individual was just on his phone.

APRIL 8, Monday:

Nothing to report.

APRIL 9, Tuesday:  

9:01 a.m. Caller reported an aggressive individual. The information was logged on a call. 12:00 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance to transport an individual to the airport. The ambulance responded. 9:04 p.m. Caller reported an intoxicated individual at the Reluctant Fisherman bar was trying to fight other patrons. Officers responded and arrested Ryan Campbell, 30, of Florida for assault and disorderly conduct.

APRIL 10, Wednesday:

1:22 p.m. Caller reported a strange vehicle in their parking area. Officer responded and found the vehicle had left the area. 2:26 p.m. Caller reported an individual may have broken their ankle. The ambulance responded and transported the individual to the hospital. 6:31 p.m. An ambulance was requested for an individual with his hip out of place. Ambulance responded and transported individual to the hospital. 8:55 p.m. The ambulance transported an individual to the airport for a medivac flight.

APRIL 11, Thursday:

Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
