Adventure is calling our youngest festival-goers, families, and the young at heart! From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, the Ski Hill will swell with fun, creative and educational activities for everyone to enjoy free of charge, so pack your bag and head up the hill for Small Fry.
What to bring:
- A blank T-shirt, pillowcase, newly made reusable bag or anything you want to decorate with sea creatures! Head on over to the Science Center’s fish printing station to create some fishy flair.
- Your appetite! Stop by Harborside Pizza’s table where they will be selling homemade, hand-churned ice cream. There will also be pizza, mac-n-cheese and chowder available for purchase at the Snack Shack.
- Your adventurous, playful, and inquisitive self! Learn about salmon, ecology, and our watershed with the Copper River Watershed Project, U.S. Forest Service and Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Practice your hula hooping skills, play lawn games, explore and complete the Fire Department’s safety obstacle course. Visit the Salmon Jam Artisan’s tables to purchase local artists’ work. Also be sure to catch the fillet demonstration put on by Cordova District Fishermen United.
Be part of this favorite family event. Come on up to Small Fry to learn, create and play!
