Applications open for subsistence seat at Wrangell-St Elias National Park

Applications are being accepted through Dec. 20 for a seat on the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission.

The commission, established under provisions of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act, is charged with recommending a program for subsistence hunting in the park.

The commission prepares proposals to change federal subsistence regulations and comments on proposals submitted by others that affect the park.

Initial appointments are typically for three-year terms and may be renewed.

Anyone may apply for themselves or nominate someone else. Applications should include a resume with contact information and information about the applicant’s qualifications for the post.
