Updated: 2:19 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 13
The Cordova Tipoff has been postponed a day because none of the teams planning to arrive via plane have made it to Cordova as of Thursday, Jan. 13. Icy runway conditions at Mile 13 airport have prevented flights from landing for the last three days.
All the teams will arrive via ferry from Whittier or Valdez early on the morning of Friday, Jan. 14, and six games a day will be played on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15.

However, Covid protocols have impacted the tournament.
“We will continue on with the 39th Annual Tip-Off Basketball Tournament this year,” Cordova athletic director Seth Balint said. “With the recent rise in COVID cases locally and statewide, we will have limited spectators in the building. Tickets will be provided to players for distribution, with masks and tournament tickets required upon entry.”
