Norton Sound Economic Development Corp has awarded small business initiative grants totally $134,028 to three regional entrepreneurs, who now have two years to implement their business plans an utilize the funds.
The winners were Farley Mobile Sales and repair, a full service mobile vehicle repair operation; JB Enterprises, a tool and equipment rental business that provides specialized construction equipment for those who would not use such equipment on a regular basis; and Sea Laundry, which operates a laundromat, and envisions a shower facility at the same location.
NSEDC plans to hold its next small business initiative competition in 2019.
To date NSEDC has allocated $1.15 million to the small business initiative program, awarding 49 recipients throughout the Norton Sound regions with business initiative funds.
