Campbell Joins Silver Bay Seafoods

Fishing industry management veteran Cora Campbell has joined Silver Bay Seafoods, a seafood processing firm headquartered in Sitka, as chief external affairs officer.

The appointment was announced by Silver Bay President Troy Donkinger.

Campbell served most recently as president and chief executive officer of Siu Alaska Corp., a for-profit subsidiary of the Norton Sound Economic Development Corp., which has investments in the pollock, cod and crab fisheries of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands.

Prior to that Campbell was the Alaska Commissioner of Fish and Game. She has also served as a policy advisor to two Alaska governors on fish and wildlife issues, climate change, natural resources, marketing and Arctic development. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including United Fishermen of Alaska, the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute and Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council.
