Law & Order: Aug. 17-23

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 8-17-18 thru 8-23-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                        

AUGUST 17, Friday:

10:35 a.m. Officer arrested Dino Peters, age 23 of Anchorage, for an arrest warrant.  

AUGUST 18, Saturday:

6:52 p.m. Caller reported an individual left a dog in their car and it continues to bark. Officer responded speaking to the owner.

AUGUST 19, Sunday:

9:15 a.m. Officer arrested Jack Reilly Jr., age 39 of Cordova, for Violating Conditions of Release. 9:12 p.m. Caller reported a man smelt of alcohol and is getting ready to drive off the ferry. Officer responded arresting Mark Mchoes, age 53 of Cordova, for DUI.

AUGUST 20, Monday:

Nothing to report.

AUGUST 21, Tuesday:

10:18 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle in the water with no one inside and no one around. Officers responded finding the drivers to be okay and vehicle will be removed from the water.

AUGUST 22, Wednesday:

8:53 a.m. Individuals came into the station reporting their rooms at a hotel had been burglarized and items had been stolen. Officer responded investigating the situation arresting Carl Rasmussen, age 26 of Anchorage, for Burglary in the First Degree.

AUGUST 23, Thursday:

Nothing to report.      

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, and citations.
