Chip Arnold is SeaLife Center’s new COO

Operations director Chip Arnold at the Alaska SeaLife Center, who joined the center 17 years ago in its IT department, has been appointed chief operating officer.

In his new role, Arnold will be in charge of daily center operations, and oversee human resources, husbandry and operations, including life support, security and custodial.

He will also continue to serve as the dive safety officer and manage oiled wildlife response programs, said Tara Riemer, president and chief executive officer of the center.
