This photo puts the song “Working on the Railroad” into a whole new light. Sometimes, accidents happen. There were times when the Copper River and Northwest Railway were under construction when things became difficult despite best efforts. This derailment includes an engine, a car and not visible in the picture – a rotary snow plow somewhere in the mucky water between Cordova and Kennecott.
