Long time Koniag, Inc. board member Ron Unger has been selected as the regional Alaska Native corporation’s new chief executive officer, with Marty Shuravloff appointed to fill Unger’s seat on the board, the company said March 11.
Unger was instrumental as interim CEO and board chairman in helping the regional firm through the transition. Prior to his new appointment he served on the board for 14 years, six of those years as chairman.
Koniag, based in Kodiak, manages a diverse portfolio of operating companies and real estate holdings to benefit its nearly 4,000 shareholders.
