Law & Order: March 29-April 4

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 3-29-19 thru 4-4-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                  

MARCH 29, Friday:

Nothing to report.

MARCH 30, Saturday:

12:43 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Natalie Webb, age 39 of Cordova, Alaska, for DUI. 2:10 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle had impacted the side of a building and the driver appeared to be unconscious. An officer responded and found Kevin Drew Goss, age 27, in the driver seat of the reported vehicle. Kevin Goss was arrested for DUI.

MARCH 31, Sunday:

1:04 p.m. A caller reported hearing 12 gunshots near his residence. An officer responded but was unable to locate the source of the noise. 3 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The Fire Department was dispatched to the residence and the patient was transported to the hospital. 8:36 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle had parked next to their own car and did a burn out causing damage from flying debris. An officer was notified but was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

APRIL 1, Monday:

2:19 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check for a friend. An officer arrived on scene and determined that everything was OK.

APRIL 2, Tuesday:

10:45 a.m. A caller reported they had received a fake $50-dollar bill at their business. An officer responded and is currently investigating the transaction. 6:33 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance at their residence. An ambulance responded to the residence and transported the patient to the hospital.

APRIL 3, Wednesday:

9:27 a.m. A caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported a patient to the hospital.   

APRIL 4, Thursday:

10:38 a.m. A caller reported their fishing vessel was broken into and a rifle was stolen. An officer is currently investigating.

 NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
