A new fitness center has officially opened its doors on First Street.
Rain or Shine Fitness & Training has, in practice, been open for about a month. However, a ceremonial opening was necessary to get word out about the business, said owner Desiree Jensen. Jensen has chosen not to conduct extensive online marketing, she said.
“I would rather spend my time working on people than on computers,” Jensen said.
Jensen, who holds a personal trainer certification, offers training in aerobics, flexibility and other areas of fitness. She can also help devise meal plans, she said.
Each month, Rain or Shine Fitness & Training will focus on a different health issue. October’s focus has been on incontinence.
“I’m a goal-oriented person,” Jensen said. “Anyone who has a fitness goal will, I hope, come to me.”
Rain or Shine Fitness & Training adjoins Seaside Salon near the Cordova Chamber of Commerce.
