Two people have been hospitalized following a Tuesday, Dec. 17 vehicle accident.
The accident took place on Whitshed Road when a vehicle carrying residents Alex Holley and Daniel Vedder left the road and traveled down a slope, confirmed Police and Fire Chief Mike Hicks. At least one occupant was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
The overturned vehicle was discovered by resident Lee Collins, who was bicycling along Whitshed Road, around 10:14 p.m. The Cordova Volunteer Fire Department responded, and Holley and Vedder were medevaced to Anchorage.
Members of Cordova City Council expressed their sympathy for the crash survivors at a Wednesday, Dec. 18 meeting.
