The Copper River Salmon Jam Planning Committee is regularly monitoring the COVID-19 developments as they pertain to our festival and will be following all CDC recommendations as well as state and local mandates regarding community events.
In light of the pandemic and current gathering recommendations, the Copper River Salmon Jam planning committee will be adapting the festival as needed to provide a safe and healthy event for our attendees. Alaska Salmon Runs has canceled the marathon and half-marathon races, and if you have registered for either of these you may request a refund or roll your registration forward for 2021.
An update on the remaining races and the rest of the festival will be shared at the end of April after the planning committee re-evaluates the COVID-19 situation. Our goal is to take the safest course of action for our community with respect to a public gathering in July, and recognize this could mean getting very creative. With that in mind, we hope that the spirit of Salmon Jam can continue to be a source of celebration and happiness for our community.
