Law & Order: Jan. 15-21

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Jan. 15-21. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Friday, Jan. 15

12:27 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 1:23 p.m. A caller requested an ambulance for his friend, an officer and the ambulance responded, and the patient was transported to the hospital. 3:34 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 8:51 p.m. A caller reported their medication had been stolen. An officer has started an investigation. 9:21 p.m. A caller reported an intoxicated driver had rammed their vehicle multiple times. An officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate the suspect vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.

Saturday, Jan. 16
12:26 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 1:41 p.m. A vehicle key found by the Fisherman’s Memorial was turned in to the police department lost-and-found. 3:56 p.m. A caller reported their chimney was on fire. The fire department responded and put out the fire. 20:04 p.m. An individual reported to an officer that he had heard a gunshot and somebody was shot at with a shotgun, the officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate anyone in distress.

Sunday, Jan. 17
12:14 a.m. A caller reported seeing a subject from a previous incident. An officer responded but was unable to locate the subject. 9:27 p.m. A caller requested an officer to trespass an individual from their property. An officer responded and trespassed the individual. An officer conducted an after-hours security check of the 13-mile airport.

Monday, Jan. 18

4:00 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 4:17 p.m. An officer assisted a motorist with jump-starting their vehicle. 7:44 p.m. A caller requested an officer to assist with removing an individual from their home. An officer responded and advised the caller it was a civil matter. 10:26 p.m. An officer met with an individual for follow-up on a previous incident.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

11:49 a.m. A caller reported a man and two kids were driving a four-wheeler down the road. An officer responded and spoke to the individual about ATV laws and required safety equipment. 12:32 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

9:24 p.m. An officer conducted a welfare check on an individual.

Thursday, Jan. 21
12:34 a.m. An officer conducted a security check of the post office. 8:39 a.m. An officer provided fingerprinting services at the station. An officer conducted an after-hours security check of the 13-mile airport.

From 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday unless otherwise posted. Closed for lunch 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Credit Card payments accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations at DMV.
