Alaska man arrested in connection with Capitol riot

FBI agents arrested an Alaska man for his alleged participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, a bureau spokesperson announced.

Tuesday, March 16,  Aaron Mileur was arrested for allegedly having breached the Capitol Building, said Chloe Martin, public affairs officer for the FBI’s Anchorage field office. A hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Five people, including one police officer, were killed in the riot that occurred when supporters of Donald Trump attempted to interrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election. The actions of the rioters were denounced by Alaska lawmakers.
